Magnolia Bakery

Client: Magnolia Bakery
Type: interior

Magnolia Bakery has expanded from its famous West Village location to the Upper West Side andRockefeller Center. The branding strategy involved the repositioning and redesign of the identity to make it relevant for an ever-expanding customer base. With the interior design at the new locations, the client wanted a more design-driven environment that paid homage to its small bakery origins. To preserve the old-fashioned charm, MARKZEFF used school house lighting, classic black and white hexagonal tiles, bead board cabinetry, and tin ceilings. The color palette is warm and inviting – shades of creams and pastels, and “Magnolia green” accented with chocolate brown. The bakery’s cupcakes still take center stage, gingerly stacked on counter tops and in display cases.
